It's Not About Forgiveness

Our lives are constantly moving and shifting.  Sometimes we seem to go through our days on auto pilot.  We are not who we think we are, we are so much more than just human beings in a body.  We are actually the essence of God as our Source of all things possible.  Sometimes, our transgressions are not for the faint of heart.  Our limiting beliefs hold us back and blur the lines of truth.  Our truth.  We make believe that we are being honest, but we aren't.  We think we are telling our truth but we talk beneath the surface of what is really in our heart and soul.  What are we afraid of?

When someone has done something to hurt us, are we really suppose to forgive them?  Is forgiveness the answer?  What is forgiveness?  Is it just merely saying the words, "I forgive you"?  Okay, nothing more to see here, just move along.   Isn't that a bit arrogant on our part? Why would I forgive you for being yourself?  It's not forgiveness that I should bestow but understanding.  I should understand that you are being you. That you are saying what you feel is true.  That you are being human.  In this special and beautiful time of the holiday season, let's remember to understand one another or to at least try.  It's not in forgiveness that we can find peace within ourselves, but in the understanding of one another and to remember, that we are all spiritual beings, encased in a human body, living on a rock hurtling through space, around a vast star in a giant solar system, in a universe that is infinite.

May all your dreams come true for the new year!  I wish you joy, peace, happiness and the abundant life you deserve!  Happy Holidays!

Your Valuable Emotions!

Emotions; they are so valuable to all of us.  Yet most of us seem to take our emotions as just a thing that happens in our daily lives, without a second thought.  We react to every day happenings without a moment of realizing that our emotions are guiding us, telling us if we are on track or not.  What does that mean?  Well, if you take the time to realize that you can use your emotions to find out what you might want to change in your life at that moment, you can actually change what you bring into your life, rather than waiting for it to creep up on you.  Emotions cause you to get in touch with yourself, and how you are feeling about a situation or issue that you have encountered, and give you a chance to change that feeling to something so much better.  When you check in with how you are feeling, you get to decide is this a good feeling or a not so good one?  Once you check in, and really feel that emotion,  is when the magic can happen if you let it!

How does this magic happen?  By changing how you feel.  Are you upset?  Change it with gratitude.  Are you depressed?  Change it with gratitude.  Are you annoyed?  Change it with gratitude.  Noticing a pattern here?  Gratitude changes everything.  Even your emotions.  When you change how you feel, the world suddenly doesn't look so scary.  When you change how you feel with gratitude, you then emit a positive energy that the Universe responds to by bringing you more of what you do want and not what you don't want.

So let your emotions be your guide everyday, and when you do that, when you are in a constant state of positive vibration, when you are feeling great about your life; well, that's when the big magic happens!

Are You Listening?

What or who are you listening to these days?  The media, your friends, family members, general populace?  For your own sake and the sanity of those closest to you, the only one you need to get in touch with, is YOU!  When was the last time you got in a room by yourself, shut off the lights, got into a comfy chair, perhaps put on some soothing music and lit a candle?  When is the last time you closed your eyes and really quieted your mind?  What are you waiting for?  Time?  All you need is about 10 minutes a day, that's all.  You say you don't have even 10 minutes?  Guess what?  You do!  Get up 10 minutes earlier or get ready for bed 10 minutes earlier, but you do have at least 10 minutes.  It's important to get in touch with that inner voice, you know, the one that whispers from time to time, just checking in, sometimes warning you to not take that road or say that word, or cautions you to love yourself a bit more.  Yup, that voice.  The one that yearns to talk to you, tell you that it's all going to be alright, the one that guides you to take that chance, that tells you, that you are enough….. as you are,…. right now…. in this moment!  That voice of reason, affection, love, grace.  This is my reason for..... (yup that word).... MEDITATION!

Meditation is the one thing I look forward to each morning.  For me it means getting up at 4:45am, getting in my comfy chair, lighting a candle, putting in my ear buds and listening to soothing gentle music and just being.  I spend about 25-30 minutes in deep meditation each day. Sometimes I am visualizing what I want, sometimes just repeating a mantra, or sometimes just sitting in quiet stillness with not a thought coming in, or if one does drift in, I recognize it and let it go, and back out it drifts.  It's a practice I took up sporadically a few years ago, but which now is a daily, sanity providing practice that puts a whole lot of life into perspective.  It is in this solitude that I listen to my inner voice, my connection to Source, my inspiration, my daily guiding light that calms my 'monkey brain', keeps me focused on my purpose, helps me to see the beauty in my surroundings and yes, keeps me sane in what seems to be an insane world.

If you haven't tried to meditate, give it a chance or take classes.  It's really easy and once you get the hang of it, you will find that it provides that grace, peace and joy that we long for in a world that seems to have lost it's way.  Namaste.

Do You Have an Attitude of Gratitude?

When was the last time you really thought about all the things that you have in your life?  Whether they are material, spiritual or emotional; when was the last time you stopped to say, "Thank You" with feeling?  If you haven't done that yet, or haven't thought about it, then now is the time.  Get quiet, close your eyes, and think about all you have to be grateful for in your life.  Everyone has at least one thing to be grateful for; and if you are saying right now, " well I can't think of one" then guess what?  You can at least be grateful that you are reading this because you are still alive.  You got up this morning to challenge another day.  You got to see your spouse, children, partner or friends one more time.  To me, that is more than enough to be grateful for on this day.  You see, we often miss the small things, or the things we take for granted in our daily lives and in missing those beautiful, gracious moments we are running on remote control.  So on this day and every day, stop and be grateful for whatever is in your life now. When you do that, and even more powerful, when you make a habit of writing them down in a journal each morning or night, you not only create more things to be grateful for, but you end up living an inspired life.  Now who wouldn't want that?

I am grateful that you took the time to read this post.  I am grateful that it made a difference and at the very least got you to think about saying "Thank you" to the Universe.

A Journey Into Love

Let Go and Let God.  Fall into His Arms and Trust.  The only one that is judging you is you.  A child of God, one with a mission and purpose in life, to spread love, to be love, and to honor oneself as love.  You are the Source of all that is good in the Universe.  Don't give into doubt, don't give into self judgement, don't let go of your dreams, for you are the reason love exists and it is you that will bring this message to the world.  Now, go forth and bring that message, and spread love, compassion and healing and help people to realize that their souls are trapped and seeking a way our of the hell that they have created.  Bring forth their happiness, and bring forth the love and light that shines within.  For I am God and I am with you always.  Now go and spread this word,  My word of love.
